The Diocese of Bongaigaon is carved out of the Archdiocese of Guwahati consisting of Bongaigaon, Baksa, Barpeta, Dhubri, Chirang, Kokrajhar, Nalbari and Mankachar Districts of lower Assam that covers the surface area of 13,630 sq, km.
